The France vs. Italy wine tasting at U Street Wine Studio puts the two most influential wine countries head to head across matching varieties and regions, teaching students to recognize how tradition, terroir, and winemaking approach produce distinct results even when similar grape varieties are involved. Students taste twelve wines over the course of the evening, six from each country, with the instructor providing historical and stylistic context for each pair. The class is great for students who already know the basics and want to deepen their regional understanding.
