Wine Fundamentals at U Street Wine Studio is a structured introduction to tasting, evaluating, and understanding wine that covers the major grape varieties, how climate shapes a wine's character, and how to read a label to understand what is in the bottle before you open it. Students taste eight to ten wines over the course of the evening with guided notes and a discussion of each wine's style, structure, and regional identity. The class is ideal for anyone who enjoys wine but wants to develop more than a passing familiarity with what they are drinking.
