DabbleIn (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates dabblein.co, a class discovery platform that helps people find skill-based classes and activities at local studios across the United States. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website and services. By using DabbleIn, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1.Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you choose to provide.

Usage data. We collect information about how you use the platform, including pages visited, classes saved, and searches performed. This helps us improve the experience.

Technical data. We automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URLs, and performance metrics. This data is used to operate and improve the platform.

Communications. If you contact us or submit a report through the platform, we retain that communication to respond to you and improve the service.

2.How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the DabbleIn platform
  • Maintain and secure your account
  • Send notifications you have opted into (such as class reminders)
  • Analyze platform usage to improve the experience
  • Monitor and improve site performance and reliability
  • Respond to your questions and support requests
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles or serve targeted advertising.

3.Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage to operate the platform, authenticate your session, and remember your preferences. We also use analytics tools to understand how the platform is used and to measure performance. These tools may collect information such as page views, session duration, and general usage patterns.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features, such as staying logged in.

4.How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting, authentication, email delivery, and analytics). These providers are contractually required to use your information only to provide services to us.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DabbleIn, our users, or others.

5.Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it for legal or compliance reasons.

6.Data security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at hello@dabblein.co immediately.

7.Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. You can:

  • View and update your account information from your profile settings
  • Opt out of email notifications from your account settings page
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us

To exercise any data rights or for questions about your personal information, email us at hello@dabblein.co.

8.California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request a copy of it, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. You also have the right not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights, and we do not do so.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Because we do not, there is nothing for you to opt out of, and we have no “Do Not Sell or Share” process to point you to.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@dabblein.co and tell us what you would like done. We will verify that the request comes from you before acting on it, which may mean asking you to confirm from the email address on the account.

9.Children's privacy

DabbleIn is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you. Your continued use of DabbleIn after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

11.Contact

For privacy questions, data access requests, or to delete your account, email us at hello@dabblein.co. You can also use the contact page, which lists the fastest route for each kind of request.
