A hands-on introduction to sea kayaking on the Columbia River covering forward and reverse strokes, turning strokes, bracing, wet exit technique, and paddle float re-entry. The class begins with a brief on-shore safety and technique walkthrough before moving onto the water where an instructor provides real-time coaching. All equipment including boat, paddle, PFD, and spray skirt is provided by Alder Creek.
