Dogpatch Paddle and Kayak runs this Thursday evening intro kayaking class on the Dogpatch waterfront covering forward stroke, sweep turns, wet exits, and self-rescue technique in a protected launch area before heading out onto the Bay for a 45-minute paddle. The session begins on land with paddle grip and posture fundamentals, transitions to shallow water drills, and ends with open water time once the instructor is confident each participant can handle basic boat control. All kayaks, paddles, and safety gear are provided.
