This class begins with Chef Olive leading a guided walk through the Saturday Berkeley Farmers Market, where students learn to evaluate seasonal produce and talk directly with the farmers who grew it. Back in the kitchen, the group cooks a complete farmers market-inspired meal using everything they selected at the market, learning how to let ingredient quality drive a menu rather than following a fixed recipe. The session builds both cooking skill and a lasting habit of shopping seasonally.
