Colorado Sake Co. runs Sushi 101 classes at 3559 Larimer Street in Five Points where a sushi chef teaches you to make three to four classic rolls from scratch, covering rice preparation, fish selection, and rolling technique using a bamboo mat. You eat what you make at the end of the 75-minute session and the class includes a sake pairing that complements the rolls you prepare. No experience is necessary and the Five Points brewery setting adds a genuine sense of place to the evening.
