This Friday morning class is limited to four students and conducted on CoRo's Loring 1.5kg roaster, one of the most efficient and consistent small-batch machines in specialty coffee. The instructor walks through the full arc of a roast: charge temperature, rate of rise, first crack timing, and development time, explaining how each control decision affects the finished cup's flavor profile. Students roast multiple batches themselves and leave with approximately 2.5 pounds of coffee they roasted that morning.
