Intro to Salsa

About this class

This Tuesday evening beginner salsa class at Austin Inspired Movement on South Congress Avenue introduces the foundational footwork, timing, and basic turn patterns of on-one salsa to adults who have never danced before or are just getting started. The instructor breaks down the eight-count basic step, cross-body lead, and right-turn combination so that students can begin social dancing by the end of their first class. The supportive South Austin studio has been building Austin's salsa community since well before 2020 and welcomes students of every background and fitness level.
