Mission Bay Aquatic Center's Introduction to Kayaking covers forward stroke, sweep stroke, edging, bracing, and self-rescue in a two-hour session on the calm water of the bay with a certified instructor. The fleet of ninety kayaks means you always get your own boat unless you specifically want a tandem, and the bay's protected waters let you focus on technique without worrying about surf or current. All equipment is provided.
