Surf Education Academy's afternoon group lesson runs ninety minutes at La Jolla Shores and covers the same fundamentals as the morning session, including paddling mechanics, the pop-up, and reading which waves to catch before they reach you. Small groups mean the instructor stays close throughout the lesson, and the afternoon light and typical afternoon sea breeze create different wave conditions than the morning that are worth experiencing. Wetsuit and board are included.
