Painting: Watercolor and Plants (4-Week Course)

About this class

Taught by Denver painter and muralist Mindy Bray, this four-week course uses seasonal botanical subjects to teach both expressive and representational watercolor techniques. You will learn to mix colors, build transparent washes, and layer opaque passages while drawing on works from the museum's Arts of Asia collection and contemporary watercolor art. Each session builds on the previous one, guiding you from basic color mixing through finished compositions with texture, depth, and personal voice. Sessions run on Saturdays from September 19 through October 10, 2026.
