Watercolor is well suited to capturing the soft light, marsh grass, and water reflections of the Lowcountry, and this workshop teaches the wet-into-wet and wet-onto-dry techniques that produce those effects. You work from reference photographs of local marshes and tidal creeks, focusing on color mixing, blooms, and how to leave white paper where you need the brightest highlights. All materials are provided and you leave with a finished 9x12 painting.
