Earth and Fire Studio beginner pottery classes introduce students to the wheel in small groups where Amanda or a senior instructor walks through centering, opening, and pulling walls in a Maple Street studio that has been teaching clay for over thirty years. Students work on their own wheel with ongoing guidance throughout the two-hour session, and the relaxed atmosphere of the neighborhood studio makes the experience unusually approachable for first-timers who are nervous about trying something new. All clay and one firing are included, and students pick up their finished pieces a few weeks later.
