Nashville Pottery hand-building workshops give students a structured two-hour introduction to creating pottery without the wheel, using slab, coil, and pinch methods to build forms that can be functional, decorative, or purely sculptural. The class is great for those who find wheel throwing physically challenging or who prefer a more controlled, less spontaneous approach to shaping clay. Students make two or three pieces during the session and select from available glazes before the work goes into the kiln.
