Turntablism and Scratch Basics

Scratch DJ Academy's turntablism workshop introduces the physical mechanics of scratching on vinyl, covering baby scratch, forward scratch, and chop techniques in a hands-on session where you are at the turntable from the opening minute. Instructors use a focused progressive method to get students producing audible rhythmic patterns during the first class, even with no background in music. All turntables, needles, and practice records are provided at the academy.
