About this class

Drawing Fundamentals at Chastain Arts Center covers the essential skills every artist needs: proportion, perspective, value, line quality, and observational drawing from life. Students work from still life arrangements and models as they develop their eye-hand coordination and ability to see shapes and spaces accurately. The class is open to all skill levels and is often the starting point for students who later move on to painting, printmaking, or sculpture.
