Afro-Latin Vocal Workshop

About this class

Drawing on Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and West African vocal traditions, this workshop develops pitch accuracy, rhythmic flexibility, and call-and-response phrasing in a group setting. The instructor leads warm-ups, teaches specific songs in their original languages, and works through the vocal techniques used in each tradition. No formal singing training is required, and the focus is on communal music-making rather than solo performance.
