Stand-Up Comedy Course

Station Theater's stand-up comedy course teaches students to write and perform original stand-up material by working through premise development, punchline structure, and the delivery elements of timing, pacing, and physical commitment that make comedy land in front of a real audience. Students perform their material each week in class and receive specific feedback from the instructor and peers, building a set week by week that culminates in a short performance at the Station Theater stage. The course is appropriate for anyone who wants to seriously try stand-up rather than just talk about it.
