Improv Level 1: Core Principles

About this class

Station Theater's nine-week Level 1 improv course teaches the core principles of long-form improvisation including agreement, active listening, physical character work, and finding the first unusual element in a scene that gives it comic direction. Students perform scenes every session with instructor coaching in between, and all enrolled students receive complimentary standing-room access to Station's Friday and Saturday improv shows throughout the course. Level 1 is the foundation of Station's curriculum and appropriate for anyone who has never done improv before.
