Sketch Comedy Writing Workshop

About this class

Dojo Comedy's sketch writing workshop teaches students how to build and structure comedic scenes for performance, covering the difference between premise and game, how to write a reliable Act Two, and the editing process that tightens a draft from funny-in-a-read to funny-in-a-room. Students write new material in every session and perform short excerpts for immediate feedback from the instructor and the group. The class is designed to move material from concept to stage faster than solo writing allows.
