The Harvey Milk Photo Center's darkroom class teaches you to shoot a roll of 35mm film, hand develop the negatives using chemistry, and make silver gelatin contact prints and enlargements under a red-safe light. The class is taught by a working professional photographer in the oldest community darkroom in the United States, which has been in Duboce Park since 1954. All darkroom equipment and chemistry are provided and you leave with physical prints you made entirely by hand.
