Tap 101 at Tapestry Dance Company introduces adults with no tap experience to the fundamental sounds and rhythms of rhythm tap dancing, covering the basic vocabulary of shuffles, flaps, ball changes, and cramp rolls in a structured weekly class led by the Tapestry faculty. The class treats tap as both a physical discipline and a musical one, so students develop a feel for the underlying swing rhythms that make tap dance come alive. Classes meet weekly on Saturday mornings, and participants are welcome to join any session as the curriculum builds cumulatively but remains open to new beginners throughout.
