El Dorado Casting Lab's Metal Basics course is a 10-week Sunday afternoon introduction to bench metalsmithing techniques including sawing, filing, soldering, and stone setting. Taught by experienced jewelers in the Honolulu studio, students learn to create simple rings, pendants, and small fabricated pieces using sterling silver and basic hand tools. A materials kit is available for purchase separately and all tool use, bench access, and instruction are included in the course fee.
