GlassblowerBen's intro glassblowing experience puts participants at the furnace with a gather of molten glass and walks them through the basic movements of gathering more glass, shaping with tools and compressed air, and finishing their piece in the annealing oven to prevent cracking. Ben guides each participant through the session personally, handling the most dangerous steps while giving participants meaningful physical control of the glass so the result is genuinely collaborative. Participants leave with a finished glass object and a clear sense of what real glassblowing entails.
