GlassblowerBen is a working glassblowing studio in the Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans where guests can try their hand at shaping molten glass into functional pieces with the guidance of founder and glassblower Ben Dombey. Sessions are small and hands-on, with each participant getting real time at the furnace to gather, shape, and finish their own glass object from a wine glass to a pumpkin or decorative ornament depending on the program. The combination of creative result, physical process, and skilled instruction makes this one of the most memorable participatory experiences in the city.
