The Center for Southern Craft & Design at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art runs a rotating series of hands-on workshops taught by working craftspeople in disciplines ranging from jewelry and ceramics to glasswork, woodworking, and textiles. The Craft Happy Hour series meets on Thursday evenings and gives participants a focused two-hour session with a professional maker in the museum's dedicated workshop space. Classes rotate topics each month so returning students always encounter something new, taught by artists whose work is exhibited in the museum galleries upstairs.
