Tuft Haven is a rug tufting studio in Berkeley offering drop-in and scheduled tufting workshops where you design a custom pattern and tuft it using an electric tufting gun on a stretched canvas frame, producing a finished hand-tufted rug to take home. The studio teaches the full process including how to load yarn, work a clean pile, and finish and trim the backing so beginners leave with a polished piece after a single session. All materials including the tufting gun, yarn, canvas, and backing are provided and the studio accommodates solo visitors, pairs, and small groups.
