Wateriders has been running guided kayak tours on the Chicago River since 1997, making them the city's original river kayak outfitter with over 100,000 participants. Tours launch from their River North dock and cover Chicago history, architecture, nightlife lore, and fireworks nights, with paddling instruction included for every participant. All equipment including kayak, paddle, life vest, and sunscreen is provided, and tours accommodate singles, couples, and groups in single or double kayaks.
