Z. Cioccolato has been handcrafting fudge and chocolate confections in North Beach since 2001, and their kitchen classes let students work alongside the candy makers who run the shop every day. Sessions cover tempering, dipping, and molding using the same techniques and ingredients as the retail operation, with each participant making five different chocolate treats to take home. Groups are kept small so everyone has counter space and direct time with an instructor.
