Fire Gallery is a working studio and gallery in the Sawyer Yards arts complex on Silver Street, one of Houston's most established artist-in-residence campuses, offering small-group classes in pottery wheel throwing and glassblowing for beginners and drop-in visitors. The studio is run by practicing artists who make and sell their own work on-site, giving classes an authentic workshop atmosphere rather than a classroom feel. Glassblowing sessions are especially popular and include time at the furnace working with molten glass under direct instructor guidance.
