Intro to Woodworking

About this class

Allied Woodshop's beginner class on Whiteside Street in East LA teaches you to operate the table saw, bandsaw, jointer, and planer safely while building a finished cutting board, with an experienced instructor walking you through every machine and technique from setup through the final sanding and oiling. The class opened in 2014 and has developed a strong following among east-side residents from the Arts District, Highland Park, and Boyle Heights who want to learn real woodworking skills. All lumber and finishing materials are included.
