Cumbia is one of the most widely danced styles in Latin America and this introductory class makes it accessible to absolute beginners. You'll learn the characteristic side-to-side weight shift, basic partner frame, and a handful of turns and variations that work across the many regional styles of cumbia. Classes are held in a welcoming community space that has served Berkeley's Latin community for decades.
