About this class

Multnomah Arts Center is one of the few places in Portland with a functioning public darkroom, and this class covers both shooting with a film camera and developing and printing your own photographs under red light. You learn to read a light meter, expose a roll of black-and-white film, then develop it in the darkroom and make contact prints and enlargements in the same session. The process of watching an image emerge in developer is an experience digital photography simply cannot replicate.
