A guided introduction to sea kayaking on the Shem Creek waterway, covering paddle grip, forward and reverse strokes, turning, bracing, and how to handle your boat in light wind and current. After the instruction segment you paddle through the creek's scenic tidal landscape with a guide who points out local wildlife and shares knowledge about the Lowcountry ecosystem. All equipment including boat, paddle, PFD, and spray skirt is provided.
