In this one-hour private lesson at Ignite Glass Studios, a professional glassblower walks you through the fundamentals of working with molten glass at the furnace, starting with safety protocol and gathering technique before guiding you through shaping and forming your own pieces. Students typically create two to three finished objects during the session, choosing from paperweights, hearts, wine stoppers, ornaments, cups, or small bowls, with each piece reflecting the decisions you made at the pipe. Finished works are annealed overnight and ready for pickup within five business days, or the studio can arrange shipping.
