This is a 7-week short-form improv workshop that meets once per week, covering the games and structures used in short-form formats including theatresports and point-scoring formats. Enrollment covers all 7 sessions and is open to students at any level.
Short-form improv uses structured games and formats that create clear rules for each scene, which makes it more accessible for beginners than long-form work. This seven-week course at Finest City Improv covers the most useful short-form formats, how to read an audience suggestion, and how to recover when a scene goes sideways. No prior improv experience is required and class sizes stay small enough for individual feedback every session.
