The Crucible's Glass Blowing I course is a multi-session introduction to hot glass at the furnace, covering how to gather molten glass on a blowpipe, shape it using tools and gravity, blow a hollow form, and use colored glass powders to add pattern and variation to your pieces. The course runs over multiple sessions in the West Oakland factory and participants create several finished pieces including a cup and a small vessel by the end of the course. This is a multi-session course; enrollment is for the full run. All safety equipment and materials are provided.
