Street Photography in the French Quarter

About this class

A Saturday walkabout class that takes small groups into the French Quarter with an instructor to practice the specific skills required to make compelling street photographs, quick decisive framing, working with available light in narrow streets, and the interpersonal confidence to photograph people authentically in a public setting. Participants learn to read light direction and quality as they move through the neighborhood and to make compositional decisions under the time pressure of a real scene rather than a controlled studio environment. The morning session concludes back at the studio where participants edit five of their strongest frames and receive specific technical and compositional feedback on each one.
