About this class

East Coast Swing is the entry point to partner dancing for most people, and this 45-minute class teaches the six-count basic step, underarm turns, and the rhythm patterns that let you improvise freely on a social dance floor. The instructor demos each move with a partner, breaks it down for leaders and followers separately, and then puts it together to music while coaches circulate and give individual corrections. By the end you will have enough vocabulary to dance with anyone at a swing night.
