The Wine Institute of New Orleans offers Friday evening wine education classes covering a rotating set of themes, French regional wines, New World vs. Old World comparisons, food and wine pairing principles, and varietal deep dives are among the recurring topics. Each session includes a guided tasting of four to six wines poured at educational quantities, led by a certified sommelier who covers everything from how to read a label to how to build your own cellar. Classes are capped at twenty students for an intimate learning experience.
