Ring Fabrication Workshop

About this class

The ring fabrication workshop at Philadelphia Jewelry Studio takes students through making a sterling silver band or simple textured ring from sheet metal using all the primary bench techniques: sawing to length, bending with pliers, soldering the seam closed, and finishing on a mandrel to get a round, polished result. The instructor demonstrates each step and students follow along on their own piece with individual feedback available throughout. Participants leave with a wearable ring and a clear understanding of what each step contributed to the outcome.
