This is a 6-week stand-up comedy workshop that meets once per week, walking students from material concept through joke structure, stage presence, and performing a set in front of an audience on the final session. No stand-up experience is needed and the first class is free. Enrollment covers the full 6-week run.
This six-week stand-up comedy course at the National Comedy Theatre teaches how to write, structure, and perform stand-up material for an audience of peers. The instructor covers premise construction, joke mechanics, timing, and stage presence, and the course ends with a short set from each participant in front of the rest of the class. You leave with usable material and a real sense of what works for your voice.
