City Kayak's intro sea kayaking lesson launches from South Beach Harbor on a two-hour guided session that covers forward stroke mechanics, bracing, and how to read tidal currents on San Francisco Bay. An ACA-certified instructor stays with the group throughout. All equipment is provided including a sit-in sea kayak, paddle, spray skirt, and personal flotation device, and the lesson is designed for people with no prior paddling experience.
