Third Wheel Pottery hand-building classes teach students to construct pottery without a wheel using slab, coil, and pinch methods, which makes the session accessible to anyone regardless of whether they have tried wheel throwing before. The instructor demonstrates each technique with a piece in progress and then guides students as they build their own forms, answering questions about wall thickness, joins, and drying strategy as they go. Students leave with two or three greenware pieces ready for the kiln.
