For students who have mastered the basics of wheel throwing, MudFire's advanced sessions focus on refined control — consistent wall thickness, throwing larger forms, centering heavy amounts of clay, and trimming footrings cleanly. The Wednesday evening class at the Decatur studio assumes students have thrown at least a full six-week beginner course and have their own basic centering established. All materials and firing are included.
