Students learn to take their camera off auto mode permanently by understanding the exposure triangle, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, through a series of controlled exercises that show exactly how each setting change affects the final image. The class moves outside for a shooting session in the visually rich surroundings of Uptown and the Garden District, giving participants immediate real-world practice applying the concepts covered in the studio portion. Participants review each other's images at the end of the session with instructor commentary, creating a feedback loop that accelerates learning significantly faster than solitary practice.
