Charleston Woodworking School on James Island teaches traditional hand-tool woodworking skills in a fully equipped shop environment. Students learn to cut, shape, and join wood using hand saws, chisels, planes, and measuring tools under the guidance of professional furniture makers. Classes are offered at multiple points during the week and are suitable for beginners as well as those with some prior shop experience.
