Nashville Pottery's Saturday intro class walks first-time potters through the fundamentals of centering, opening, and pulling clay on the wheel in a supportive small-group setting on Gallatin Avenue in East Nashville. The two-hour session covers the basic mechanics of wheel throwing with enough hands-on time to complete one or two small pieces, which the studio fires and glazes for pickup. All clay, tools, and firings are included in the $85 class fee.
