Kinetic Arts Center's intro lyra class covers getting on and off the hoop safely, seated and standing positions, a simple back balance, and two or three beginner poses that look impressive while remaining physically accessible to people with no prior aerial background. The class is physically demanding in a fun way rather than grueling, and the instructor adjusts the content to the group's starting point. Safety mats and spotting are provided.
